King Post Walls

Ale Piling can provide alternatives to sheet piles, such as King post walling systems at certain sites and in certain ground conditions.

The King Post Wall can be used as either a permanent or temporary solution and can be constructed from either, concrete panels, timber sleepers or beams, steel panels or trench box panels.

Whatever the wall is constructed from, whether it be in a permanent or temporary state, it relies on the panels being inserted into preinstalled steel H-beams or girders. These H-beams can be left in place or extracted after the works have finished, dependent on the site.

If used on a suitable application, a King Post Wall can provide a more cost-effective solution than sheet piling, with the added advantage that the installation process is virtually silent and vibrationless.
